Pandas get Commitment from High School
and Provincial Juvenile Team Star

The coaching staff is pleased to announce that the Pandas have a commitment from a very successful High school and Provincial Team player for the upcoming season.  Katie Arbuthnot, from Sir Winston Churchill in Calgary spent an exciting recruiting weekend with the Pandas during the Hoopfest Tournament and has since notified the team she is going to join the Pandas basketball program after completing her High School Career with the Churchill Bulldogs.  Katie was a starter for Scott Edwards on the Alberta Provincial team, which captured a Silver Medal at the National Championship in Vancouver this past summer.  She is a 5’10” guard who has an outstanding scoring ability.  She was one of the best offensive players at the Juvenile Championships and has shown great leadership and team qualities.  Both the players and staff are thrilled with her decision and welcome our newest Panda!
